Benassal water… essential in all stages of life
The human being has a dependent relationship to water since it is the medium where the main functions for life are developed, such as: cellular metabolism reactions, exchange of nutrients, and excretion of waste from the body. What is more, when we consider the fact that our body is made up of 70% water, the importance of proper hydration is evident.
At Agua de Benassal we carry out different communication and awareness actions aimed at promoting the importance of water for the body, its effects in different stages of life, and how water deficit affects the body.
But, how much water does our body need?
Hydration needs are variable for different bodies and respond to various parameters that must be taken into account, such as: age, weight, physical activity or exposure to meteorological agents. However, we can consider, as a reference, that our body needs a daily water intake of 3% of our body weight.
What happens if we don’t meet the hydration needs of our body?
Different symptoms associated with the dehydration process begin to develop, such as dizziness, headache, redness of the skin, weakness, fatigue, dry mouth, and lack of appetite.
In contrast, the benefits of proper hydration are of great importance, as it helps us to: regulate body temperature, keep skin young and elastic, lubricate the joints and other organs of the body, facilitate the transport of nutrients to the cells, aid the digestive process, and promote the elimination of toxins.
