From the days of the Duke of Vendôme, who ordered the opening of a trail to enable access to the En Segures Fountain with his carriage in the middle of the 18th century, to the popularization of its medicinal-mineral properties with the help of prestigious urology specialist Dr. Puigvert who promoted the benefits of Benassal water.
More than a century ago, this liquid pleasure emerged from nature itself. And even today, we enjoy the privilege of having Benassal water on our table, adding a touch of distinction and unmatched elegance. Thousands of tourists visit the En Segures Fountain spring every year to benefit from its exceptional properties.

The natural water filtering process

The natural filtering by the rock provides unique properties to the water.

Agua de Benassal’s water emerges from a pure spring that sprouts in the mountains of the Alt Maestrat region, in Castellon. The water is the result of rainwater and snow on a natural site located at an altitude of 900 meters.
The filtering process is carried out by the different materials deposited on substrates through which the water flows slowly and continuously, under quite stable conditions. Each substrate leaves an imprint on the composition where the final result is a unique formula declared medicinal-mineral water since 1928, given its therapeutic properties.
